Mr. Mohamed Reda Al-Hamini, Parliamentary Counselor and member of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), chaired the proceedings of the Committee on Economic, Social, and Environmental Affairs of the Parliamentary Assembly of Francophonie, held in Laos on April 10th and 11th, 2024. The meeting was attended by representatives from various national parliaments that are members of the organization.
The sessions of this meeting focused on highlighting issues of common interest, sharing views and experiences among participants, as well as studying and discussing various agenda items, including:
- The economic situation of member countries in the Parliamentary Assembly of Francophonie
- Energy and digital transition in the Francophonie.
- Encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship in the Francophonie.
- Promoting circular economy in the region's countries.
- Facilitating the mobility of citizens within theFrancophonie.
- Dissemination of legislative documents related to environmental policies.
- Discussion on the follow-up report issued by the World Trade Organization on international trade negotiations.
It is noteworthy that Mr. Mohamed Reda Al-Hamini held several bilateral meetings with representatives of participating parliamentary delegations on the sidelines of this meeting. These discussions aimed to enhance parliamentary cooperation through the exchange of experiences and best practices in various fields.
